An inventive clockmaker, Franz Anton Ketterer, designed a clock with novel features (of a cow being struck down by a butcher and a skeleton that turned over each hour!).

Since its inception sin 1885 as a manufacturer of the original Black Forest cuckoo clocks, this has been a family-owned business. The company has worked hard at maintaining the authentic design over all these years.

This traditional craft of clock making was carried on in the Schwer family line for over four generations until 2000, when the company was acquired by an employee.
